Fall in love with Lakeview

by | Sep 22, 2020

Sprawling pumpkin patches, leaves slowly changing from green to brilliant auburn and buttery yellow, homemade apple pie, a pumpkin spice latte, and apple cider on the stovetop —all of the best things about fall are perfectly picturesque.

It’s also the perfect time to wear your favorite oversized sweater, enjoy an early sunset, and begin planning your Thanksgiving menu.

Even though the leaves typically don’t start turning in East Texas until November, Lakeview is pretty spectacular in the fall.

It’s a great time to get outside and find something fun to do! Here are some of our favorite fall activities at Lakeview.

Go flat-bottom boating. There’s just something about the colorful trees reflected in the water.

Preserving autumn leaves. A timeless tradition and a perfect activity for kids.

Bird watching. You don’t have to be an expert birder to enjoy bird watching, especially in the fall. Many birds are preparing for a long migration, and because the leaves are starting to fall, they are easier to spot.

Roasting marshmallows. There’s no better way to spend a chilly fall night by a bonfire.

Instagramming.  What could be better than spending a crisp, fall afternoon walking through nature and taking in the reds, oranges, yellows, and purples of the changing leaves.
